The Rocky Valley Lutheran Church in Dooley, Montana was built in 1915, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993 and collapsed on July 8th, 2019. These images were the final images of the church. I arrived at the church in the afternoon/evening of July 7th. A massive thunder and lightning storm developed over the area and lasted most of the night. I shot a couple images at sunrise of the church and left. By the time I was back home in Colorado, the church had fallen. The extreme lean you see here didn't last with gravity tugging on it. This was the "Final Strike".
